homestead
I take a lot of pictures in my own garden & kitchen. Since there isn’t enough space at home for barnyard animals, I go elsewhere for that. Not exactly a project per se, this is more simply an ongoing observation of my domestic world.

Popovers!
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large or 4 small eggs
1 cup whole milk or combo of milk & buttermilk
450 degree oven
In large bowl or 2 quart pyrex measuring cup, mix together flour & salt.
In small bowl, whisk eggs until uniform pale yellow. Whisk in milk. Let warm on top of stove (assuming that your preheating oven warms up the top of your stove; otherwise find some way to take the chill off the liquid mixture.)
Whisk liquids into dry ingredients until just mixed. Small lumps ok!
Heat popover pan in oven, then quickly brush with about 1 tablespoon melted butter, & pour batter in.
Bake at 450 for 20 minutes, then turn down to 375 & bake another 15-20 minutes. Do not open oven door for first 30 minutes of baking!
